KWK Architects is pleased to welcome Matt Sutherland to our talented and growing team of professionals. Matt earned his degree in architecture from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. His previous experience includes eight years at Christner Inc., working on K-12 and higher education projects and nine years at Forum Studio (part of Clayco Construction in St. Louis) as the lead design architect for commercial office buildings. During a recent two-year stint on the West Coast, Matt focused on retail and entertainment design at RTKL in Los Angeles. At KWK, Matt is currently working on projects at Northeast Community College in Nebraska, Georgia Tech and student housing at Iowa State University.
An Alabama native, Matt moved to St. Louis in his teens and is an alumni of Lafayette High School. He is an avid outdoorsman, cyclist, and swimmer. Matt and his wife have one child and enjoy spending weekends “away from it all” in their cabin.
