KWK Principal Dick Kirschner, along with Jeff Smith, Vice President at Opus Design Build, will be speaking at the 2017 Design-Build Institute of America Mid-America Region (DBIA-MAR) Conference on April 20 at the Kansas State University Innovation Campus in Olathe. Their session, Driven to Deliver a Vibrant Student Living Experience for ISU, focuses on the advantages and lessons learned from the team's recent student housing project at Iowa State University. Attendees will hear how the team utilized a collaborative design-build process to complete a $40M, 724-bed residence hall in just 24 months, while giving the university more beds than the program required, achieving LEED Gold over LEED Silver, and delivering the project well under budget.
