Contemporary student housing design aspires to create an inviting home that balances resident privacy with the benefits of a strong living-learning community. We have put these principles into practice through the design of more than 125 residence halls in the US and Canada*.
In addition to project experience, KWK principals are active in the Association of College and University Housing Officers – International (ACUHO-I) to grow their understanding of contemporary student housing. Principal Paul Wuennenberg has served on the faculty of three Senior Housing Officer Training Workshops and co-authored award-winning articles for ACUHO-I’s Talking Stick magazine. Paul was recognized with the 2011 S. Earl Thompson Award, an award given by ACUHO-I for commitment to the advancement of student housing by a non-housing professional.
KWK principals give back by sharing their knowledge with others through presentations at regional and national conferences on a wide variety of housing design issues.
Our expertise makes KWK Architects the ideal partner to help solve your student housing challenges.
*Projects include personal experience of KWK Architects principals as members of Mackey Mitchell Architects design teams.
