University of Missouri - The Restaurants at Southwest Dining Center
The new dining center is a 600+ seat, 30,000 square-foot facility located on the first floor of a new residence hall. The dining center includes a dramatic two-story dining space that overlooks a new neighborhood quad space. A “green” roof is planned for the roof area to help improve stormwater control and provide a better view for the residents on upper floors.
Distributed throughout the center are six venues and adjacent dining areas. Each venue is designed in a distinctive style to reflect the food theme. A separate coffee shop and private dining room have independent access to allow use when the dining center is closed.
The venues are served by a common kitchen. All food storage, prep, serving, and dining activities are on the same level with only staff support and long-term storage on a lower level. The large service dock has separate areas for delivery, refuse, and student-housing vehicles.
