Bob Buckman Joins KWK Team

KWK Architects welcomes architect Bob Buckman to the KWK team. For over 20 years Bob has practiced a time-tested design philosophy by devoting equal attention to functional, aesthetic and economic aspects, elevating each project to its greatest heights. Drawing from his experience as a designer, project architect, and project manager, Bob serves on the Architectural Studies Advisory Board at the University of Missouri. He is licensed in Missouri, Illinois, and Colorado.

Bob earned a Master of Architecture from California State Polytechnic University and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design at the University of Missouri, later returning to the educational field as the former architectural acoustics instructor at Washington University. But Bob’s career truly began as a young man in Northwest Missouri, spending his summer vacations working in construction, woodworking and carpentry.

Through his experience in offices nationwide, including Christner, The Sutton Studio, and DHA in St. Louis, his notable work includes award-winning projects including Maryville University’s Donius University Center, Westminster College’s Walter Coulter Science Center, Johnson’s Shut-Ins State Park, Express Scripts’ corporate headquarters, Forest Park’s restoration of The Jewel Box, and even an off-the-grid ranch in Colorado.

Bob’s family and three children are a very important part of his life, and he enjoys spending his down time with them. Additionally, he is a dedicated musician who frequently performs live.
